Couldn’t imagine myself playing mother to a grown-up guy: Harsha Khadeparkar on quitting YRKKH

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai recently bid goodbye to Mohsin Khan and Shivangi Joshi aka Kartik and Naira/Sirat. Now, we will see new actors taking forward this beautiful story of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai produced by Director's Kut (Rajan Shahi). In a new promo of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (Star Plus)  we see Harshad Chopda as Abhimanyu, Pranali Rathod as Akshara and Karishma Sawant as Aarohi.

Along with Shivangi and Mohsin, actors like Harsha Khandeparkar, Simran Khanna and Shilpa Raizada will also mark their exits from the show.

India Forums got in touch with Harsha and asked her about her thoughts on exiting the show. The actress said, “Honestly, I can’t imagine myself playing a mother to guy of same age. I managed playing a mother to 10-year-old and that’s all I can do. Initially, I was hesitant for even that, but then I somehow made myself understand and convince to continue with the show. But playing a mother to someone older or the same age is something I couldn’t relate to and that’s why parting ways felt like the best option, but with a heavy heart”.

Talking about her experience of being a part of the show, she added, “I have done shows before but I’ve learned a lot from my stint in ‘YRKKH’. I explored many shades of emotions in one single character. On top of that, I got the opportunity to work with Rajan Shahi and such prominent actors. I am only grateful and will cherish the experience for a long time”.

Speaking about the new chapter in the show, Harsha said, “Well, it looks quite promising. I catched up with the first episode post leap and it looked amazing. I’m sure, like me, other actors working under the guidance of Mr.Shahi will only achieve best results”.
