CONGRATULATIONS: Mitali Nag delivers a baby boy!

2016 ended on a high note when it came to the tinsel town actors and actresses becoming mummies and papas. And this year too, has started on the same happy note.

Actress Mitali Nag, who rose to fame with Zee TV's Afsar Bitiya, was recently in the news for working until the 8th month of her pregnancy. Last night, the actress gave birth to a baby boy at 1 am.

While speaking to a leading daily from her hometown in Nagpur, Mitali expressed her and husband Sankalp's joy over their bundle of joy. She and the baby will return to Mumbai after a month at her hometown.

The couple has jotted down a few names and will finalize one soon. Mitali did reveal in an interview earlier that they wanted to name their child after Lord Shiva, irrespective of whether it was a girl or a boy.
