Compassionate side of Chandana Sharma...

Chandana Sharma should not mind the lack of success of her 9X comedy, Dhak Dhak in Dubai. For this beauty who debuted with the forgetful Yeh Dil Chahe More (Star One) has an alternate career in animal welfare. “I love to rescue creatures in distress”, she says.

Recently this wild life lover spotted a pigeon dangling in one of the cables of a high-rise building and immediately rushed to help. “I was scared since it was Sunday, hence did not know what to do. Luckily somebody told me to call the fire brigade which I did with some hesitation, not knowing whether they will bother to even turn up. But they promptly showed up and rescued the poor bird. The men even refused to accept any money, saying they were only doing their duty. Mumbai fire brigade (Versova station) rocks, I salute them”, she ended.

For the uninitiated, Chandana is also hosting ‘Show Biz’, a daily film based show. Unfortunately for her, even this NDTV Imagine presentation is not being given its due, for it's more of a filler.
