Chunky Panday to Ananya: “Stop Taking My Name”, after she Compared his Struggle with a Dharma Movie

Recently Ananya Panday invited a lot of trolling against her over her nepotism comment at the actor’s roundtable, that also included new stars like Vishal Jethwa from Mardaani 2, Siddhant Chaturvedi from Gully Boy, Geetika Vidya Ohlyan from Soni, Abhimanyu Dassani from Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota, and Saloni Batra from Soni.

When the Nepotism question popped at the roundtable, Ananya defended herself saying that even if she is the daughter of actor Chunky Panday, it’s not easy for her. She had also stated that her father is still struggling and she stated that her father has not appeared on Koffee With Karan and never been in a Dharma movie.

Ananya’s statement, “Everyone says that it’s all glamorous and I’ve gotten everything that I wanted. But I’m very grateful that I’m my Dad’s daughter and I wouldn’t want it any other way. When people hate on me for nepotism, I’m not going to shy away that I’m Chunky Pandey’s daughter. My Dad has worked really hard and he’s still working.Just because my Dad is an actor I’m not gonna say no to a film. My Dad never did a Dharma film, my Dad never went on Koffee with Karan. It isn’t as easy people say it is. Everyone has their own journey” did not gone down well with Siddhant Chaturvedi, who was sitting right next to her.

And, Siddhant’s one-liner, “Everyone has their own struggle. But difference yahi hai ki jahan hamare sapne poore hotein hai, wahan inka struggle shuru hota hai” sealed the conversation and MC Sher won the hearts of the netizens with his response. 

Post this, the SOTY 2 actress faced a massive trolling on social media. Ananya’s father Chunky Panday has finally reacted to this and stated that she should stop taking his name. 

“The two times she really got trolled was when she called me Tony Stark and the second was this episode. I want to tell her to stop taking my name” Chunky told Mumbai Mirror. 

He also reacted to the numerous media reports about Ananya’s love life and said, “She’s 21, it would be abnormal if she didn’t have a boyfriend. I have been through this in my time, so I know how much of it is true. You’re ready for these things as an insider.”

Meanwhile, on the work front, Ananya will be next seen alongside Ishaan Khatter in Khaali Peeli.
