Choti Sarrdaarni's Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia: My family gives me strength to work harder each passing day

Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia got her very first break in the television industry with the show Choti Sarrdaarni. She has always been a workaholic. On being asked about her motivation to give her best at work, she says, "I had always been a disciplined child having been brought up in an army lifestyle because of my father. I always used to have a routine. So those are the first two reasons why I am always motivated towards my work. But yes there are times, where I may tend to feel low; I make sure to call up my parents and just chat with them for a while and that definitely relieves me. As they stay in Delhi, I connect with them mostly over video calls. I make sure I don’t miss any chance to see them, even if that means flying to Delhi for a day. So one can say that my heart truly lies in Delhi."

Further, she adds, ''I recently visited Delhi, and I want to tell that Delhi Ki Hawaa mei kuch alag hi baat hain. It has a very different vibe and I like that the most. I was more than happy to see my parents. Just getting that "Jaadu Ki Jhappi": from my parents took all my stress away and gave me a breath of relief. As we all know that shooting for television can be strenuous; most of our hours go shooting on sets. But we can't help it as it's our passion and I am more than happy to give it my best. If I work well, I can find a way to reach people’s hearts.”

Lastly, on being asked about her current track, she says, "Now after the leap as I am playing a character (Seher) of my age, I am able to relate to it more. While shooting I always feel full of energy because of my on-screen character. So yes, I am really loving this and  I am always hoping for the audiences to love it as well."

The leap in the show also paved the way for multiple new entries in the show.
