One of the most longwithstanding controversies in the telly world for a while has been that of Hamari Bahu Silk. As one would remember, the leading stars of the show Zaan Khan and Chahat Pandey led a movement of sorts where they went on to protest and have online campaigns to have their dues cleared from the show's makers which were pending for a long time now.
It was an extremely talked-about topic where CINTAA and other bodies were also involved in the mix in an attempt to have the actors and crew members get their dues sorted. But it was also reported a while ago that the leading actors had a meeting with the makers to have the dues cleared. And now, it has officially been cleared as it was confirmed by none other than Pandey herself. In a conversation with ETimes TV, Pandey said, "Yes, the payment issues from Hamari Bahu Silk have been resolved. My payment dues have been cleared. I know it took a lot of time but I am happy that things are sorted. I would like to thank all the media people who highlighted the issue and supported us, and also the channel who supported us and cleared our payment. And now, I have bagged a new show, I am very happy. I would say intezaar ka phal meetha hota hai."
On the other hand, Pandey has bagged yet another show and will be seen in Nath Jevar Ya Janjir, where she will play the role of Mahua, who is a simple yet bubbly girl. Talking about the character, Pandey said, "My character Mahua is very different from the roles I've played so far in my career like Durga, Hamari Bahu Silk, Aladdin and Tenali Rama. My character is of a happy-go-lucky girl, very talkative but is very transparent. I relate a lot with my character."
It is indeed a relief that the matter is cleared and all sorted.
