Celebs articulate on World Heritage Day!

India is known for its striking heritage buildings and monuments like Taj Mahal, Jama Masjid, Qutub Minar, Gate Way of India, Old Fort and many more. Our very own Rajasthan, also known as the Hill of Forts' has some great history attached to it. On this auspicious occasion of World Heritage Day (April 18) and the 50th anniversary of the International Council for Sites and Monuments (ICOMOS), Tellybuzz spoke to few TV stars who disclosed their love for historical buildings in India and abroad. 

Pariva Pranati last seen in 'Hamari Sister Didi' on Sony Pal says: 

I have spent a lot of time in Delhi and this city is full of heritage property and I have visited most of them. From Red Fort to Qutub Minar, Old fort I love them all. The first thing that strikes me is how these buildings were made; they are made to such perfection. My all time favourite is Gwalior Fort, it's huge. There was a hole in the wall of this fort which connected to the road. So, if you are standing at one end of the whole, which is on the road, and you say something, you could listen to that inside the quilla. I would love to cover all of them specially ones in India.

As a child I always use to carry a bag along with me, so that I don't litter the place, I would suggest that all my fans should do the same.

As I am from Hyderabad, my all time favourite is Char Minar. Whenever I am in that city I make a point to visit the place with my friends or family. The one I haven't visited but would like to visit in future is Hagia Sofia in Turkey and Machu Picchu in Peru. As I am also devotee Lord Shiva, I would love to visit all the twelve Jyotirlingas. I have visited only one so far and that is Trimbakeshwar Temple in Nasik. I feel all the temples show how diverse our Indian culture is and one should definitely visit them.

My all time favourite is undoubtedly Taj Mahal and truly deserves to be part of Seven Wonders of the World. But there is so much of politics which is going around it, I hope it ends soon. I went on a trip to Europe but I didn't get an opportunity to visit Eiffel Tower. I would love to visit there soon. 

In order to preserve our heritage I feel we all should protest for it, because this how you can actually make the Indian government work and yes even media should get involved in order to spread the message across the world.

I think this is the very apt question for me because many people are not aware about the fact that St. Xaviers college is a part of World Heritage Organisation and I am very honoured to be a part of it as I have lived my college life in that beautiful palace. Rarely people get an opportunity to stay and study in that campus. It's a dream for many and I am blessed that I was one of them to achieve it. I haven't explored anything beyond India, so I would like to explore as many historical monuments as possible as I am a hard core traveller.

I love Taj Mahal a lot that I have actually visited it twice. But now due to acid rain and factory pollution it has completely turned yellow and I hope that our government soon take some action to preserve it. Other than that I am a big fan of Maharana Pratap and have heard a lot of stories around it, so I would surely be visiting City Palace and Chittorgarh Fort in Udaipur soon. 

After reading this we as a citizen of India, we should take one step further in order to preserve our heritage, culture and the beauty of India.
