Cannes 2024: Preity Zinta makes heads turn in a pristine white pearl outfit posing at the French Riviera

The actress's participation at Cannes goes beyond just a glamorous appearance. She is there to present the Pierre Angenieux ExcelLens in Cinematography honor to her long-time collaborator, Santosh Sivan. Their association dates back to Preity's debut film, Mani Ratnam's romantic drama Dil Se in 1998, where Sivan served as the cinematographer. Now, after seven years, Preity reunites with him for Rajkumar Santoshi's upcoming period drama Lahore 1947.

Preity's Cannes journey began in 2006 when she made her debut appearance at the festival. Over the years, she has graced premieres and events, establishing herself as a familiar face at the prestigious gathering. In 2013, she returned to Cannes as the brand ambassador for the luxury watch brand, Chopard, further solidifying her presence on the international stage.

In a recent interview with DD India, Preity expressed a deep connection with Santosh Sivan, describing it as karmic. She credited him for capturing her beauty in a natural, no-make-up look in Dil Se, fondly recalling his nurturing presence on set.
