Buddha to be unveiled at Sarnath

TV show Buddha's team will unveil in Sarnath, near Varanasi, the face of the actor who will play the title role in the show.

The makers have decided to launch it in Sarnath because Buddha first taught about 'dharma' there and the Buddhist sangha (community) also came into existence there, said in a statement.

The actor who will essay Buddha on screen has undergone a solemn training regimen to depict the character precisely. He also underwent a 10-day course in vipassana, a form of meditation, as part of his exercise to know the character in depth.
