BTS: J-Hope aka Jung Hoseok has made a generous donation for the bereaved victims of Muan air crash

BTS aka Bangtan Boys is known for its philanthropic activities. As of now, South Korea is having a period of national mourning for seven days. The devastating Jeju air crash left more than 170 people dead near Muan. BTS lead dancer, rapper, music producer and song-writer J-Hope aka Jung Ho-seok has donated 100 million KRW (USD 68K) to the families of air crash victims. It happened at the Muan Airport near Jeollanam-do. Only two flight attendants were rescued from the crash.

The donation was delivered to the victims through the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association. In a statement, J-Hope aka Jung Ho-seok stated, “Upon hearing the news of the accident, I decided to make this donation to help the bereaved families as much as I can.” Further, he said the incident had left him saddened beyond measure, “I offer my deepest condolences and comfort to the bereaved families and everyone affected by this tragedy. My heart goes out to those enduring this unimaginable pain.”

This is not the first time he has reached out to people who are suffering. From sponsoring education for meritorious students in his hometown to animal rescue, and a huge donation for children in Africa, he is truly the golden hyung. The ‘Hope Bridge Honour Club’ has high net worth individuals in South Korea. BTS members are known for their generosity, especially J-Hope and Jimin.

J-Hope finished his military training on October 17, 2024. It seems he will do a tour this year in March. His solo concert ‘J-Hope Tour – Hope On The Stage’ at Seoul’s Olympic Park’s KSPO Dome. BTS will be out of the military in 2025. The Bangtan boys are keen to hold concerts at the soonest. It is said that the first world tour will happen in 2026. J-Hope is also working on his new solo project. He was in Los Angeles for a long time for the same.
