Daljit Kaur who was at Mumbai to perform for the ITA Awards is on Cloud Nine as the D-day of her wedding gets closer...

The bride-to-be, Daljit Kaur is looking forward to the D-day (December 9th), when she will be wedded to Shaleen Bhanot.

However, the actress who is passionate about dancing gave a scintillating performance at the recently conducted ITA Awards. Talking about her performance, Daljit says, "This performance was special as this was my last before my marriage (smiles). It was a good mix of old romantic songs, on which we performed Salsa and Sambha dance forms".

Daljit who has got back to Pune after her performance at the awards last night is elated about the ongoing marriage preparations and tells us, "My shopping has not ended yet. We will be leaving to Jabalpur on the 5th December. My Mehndi ceremony will be on 7th December, which will be organized by my in-laws. I have decided to have a simple look for Mehndi, with no make-up. For my engagement, which will be on 8th December I will wear a typical Punjabi suit".

"My marriage on the 9th will be a proper Hindu marriage, which is happening for the first time in my house. Both my sisters got married at the Gurudwara; also this is the last wedding in my house", quips the bride-to-be.

Daljit has a surprise planned for Shaleen. "I have bought a specially designed and customized ring for Shaleen. I want to see his reaction when he sees it. We will have a reception in Mumbai on the 13th December, for which I will be wearing a beautiful saree. This is the only attire that I have selected for myself, and Shaleen has not even seen it (smiles)".

We wish the couple all the very best for their D-day..
