Veteran Bollywood actress, Rita Bhaduri left for heavenly abode early this morning at around 1:30 AM. She was 62 and according to reports, she was suffering from serious kidney ailments.

Sharing the news and the details about her funeral, 'Raazi' actor Shishir Sharma, took to his Facebook account and posted:

"We deeply regret to inform you that Reeta Bhaduri has departed for her journey beyond. The funeral rites will be held on 17th July, Tuesday at 12 noon at the Cremation Ground, Parsi Wada Road, Parshiwada, Chakala, Andheri East.

Extremely sad.. lost a wonderful human being .. a mother to many of us.. will miss u Ma."

Rita has been a part of the Hindi film and television industry for over five decades. She has done over 70 feature films and worked in prominent television shows.

Her iconic films include Raja, Julie, Beta, Dil Vil Pyar Vyar, "Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa", "Kya Kehna", "Dil Vil Pyar Vyar" and "Main Madhuri Dixit Banna Chahti Hoon". She also featured in Gujarati movies.

On the TV front, her credits include popular shows like "Hasratein", "Sarabhai vs Sarabhai", "Khichdi", "Ek Nayi Pehchaan", "Amanat", "Ek Mahal Ho Sapnon Ka", "Choti Bahu" and "Kumkum". She was particularly popular for playing roles of a mother or grandmother.

In "Nimki Mukhiya", she was seen as Imarti Devi, the grandmother of the house.

I still remember her as Dadi of Kumkum..she was excellent in that role..she was so charming and sweet..RIP

Very sad to hear this. May she rest in peace. She brought such charm to her character in Nimki Mukhiya. Will miss her.

I remember watching her tv show on zee tv name - gre lakshmi ka jeen, she played a housewife who found a nice jin who helped her with housework, she was nice actress, RIP. feeling sad hearing this sad news.
