The Bachchan saga continues from where it left off on Friday on K for Kishore. With Javed Akhtar as a special guest on the show, there can be never a dull moment or dearth of memorable anecdotes. His incisive comments and acerbic remarks go hand in hand, while Nagesh Kukunoor provides his own observations without fear or prejudice. Together they are the perfect foil to the three judges Amit Kumar, Sudesh Bhosle and Bappi Lahiri who knew the late Kishore Kumar on highly personal level and know exactly what they are looking for.
Arnab Charaborthy opened his innings with Angrezi mein bole… which had a young girl from the audience promptly walk up to the stage and present him with a rose and ask him for a date! Taken aback by the proposition Arnab refused the offer. It is only on the insistence of Rajeshwari and the judges that he responded with an appropriate song for his young fan bagging the title of Dostana for his performance from Javed Akhtar.
K Shailendra's powerful rendition of Jaane kaise, kab kahan… got him a Don title from the lyricist. Chetan Rana broke the shackles of the past weeks with a boisterous Zindagi hasne gaane ke liye… Nayan Kumar Rathod continued his winning ways with Saara zamana… in a glittering shirt and a performance to match. Silsila… was Javed Akhtar's verdict! Rex D'Souza came up with Tere jaisa yaar kahan… and proved what a wonderful yaar he is and an equally good human being too.
Don't miss the episode to find out what Rex did to get a standing ovation from all the judges, audience and some heartfelt words of praise from his mentor from Fame Gurukul…
Loads of fun and an emotional adieu to one of the participants, who leaves the show, amidst a Bachchan bonanza…
It is all happening on K for Kishore on Saturday, March 8,at 9.00 pm only on Sony Entertainment Television.
