"Bigg Boss was never in question for me, but here we are" - Neha Bhasin in 'Bigg Boss OTT'

Bigg Boss OTT will be launching tomorrow and the wait is almost over as there is a range of really interesting names that have been roped in for the show. One of the prime names in this list has been that of singer Neha Bhasin. Bhasin has been on the tube for almost two decades now and continues to enjoy an amazing career in the music industry as well.

All set to enter the Bigg Boss OTT house, India Forums had a conversation with the singer asking and got to know about her plans for the journey which included her talking about her image, her biggest fears and much more.

What made you choose Bigg Boss OTT this year?

One of the first reasons has to be that I have a lot of free time this year. Usually, September to December is our busiest months but with the ambiguity surrounding the situation and COVID-19, we don't know what will the situation be. When you have all this free time, it gives you perspective and time to think about things. Though, Bigg Boss was never in the question for some reason, I said first let's take a meeting and see what happens. And everything fell in place. I have also always felt how the show has such a massive fan following, not only in India but globally. And here we are!

You carry an image yourself. It can easily be mistaken in several ways. Do you think that will be a concern here as well?

When you enter Bigg Boss, you know this contest is about different personalities. I think I can handle it anything as such happens. Having said that, when you are in a confined space, you never know! For now, it is six weeks and I feel that much I can do. I am a human being in the end and you will see the normal good and bad side, I hope it doesn't get ugly. There will be situations where one might end up doing something they are not like for real. I hope to not do any such thing that I am ashamed of or my mother is ashamed of.

Other contestants might also have an image about you. Do you think they will also have think twice before approaching you?

I feel if anybody, who is so judgemental shouldn't approach me anyway. I am not a judgemental person myself and I would prefer to have a conversation with people who have an open mind. If they are coming in with a pre-conceived notion, I cannot help them. I am a very sensitive person and I will be as normal as anybody else.

You have been on the tube for a such a long time. But there has been a certain transformation in you in the recent few years. Is there a specific reason you decided to do it or it just happened organically?

I think, I have actually always been like that, to be honest. I guess people started understanding and noticing later. Things like coloring my hair, or wearing leather and stuff I have been doing that since my college days. I guess when it comes to being outspoken, that might have happened only lately. Because, I guess with age and experience, it has become about being myself and getting more aware. And I feel with fame comes responsibility for the things that you believe in. If you feel to stand up for something, I feel one should do it. That might be a change people would have noticed in the past 5-6 years.

What are the three things you would never do in the house even if it is a task?

I haven't really thought about it honestly. But I am not going to clean anybody's shit for sure (laughs). They have to be careful about that themselves. I won't also indulge in physical aggression for sure. 

Do you plan to explore your musical side as well considering there are pother singers coming in as well?

That's a good thing. I understand singers, let's just put it that way. When there are singers, I am sure there is a lot of singing and fun. I hope it brings peace and happiness in the house and entertainment to the audience. 

What is your biggest fear going in the house?

Leaving my family. There's no preparation for that. I am up for the challenges though. Human beings adapt and I will do the same and survive.

One final message you want to give to all your fans.

My parting thought is that firstly, don't worry about me, because some of them are. Have fun. Whatever I have done in my life has been with all my heart and I will continue to do that for this as well. To all the fans of the show, I just want them to be prepared for a lot of fun.
