Bigg Boss OTT: Divya Agarwal on going into the house without Varun Sood, having an advantage and more

Divya Agarwal has managed to earn quite the name for herself and continues to do well for herself with all the work she has been doing. She will be seen in the web series Cartel, which is a multi-starrer including Rithvik Dhanjani, Tanuj Virwani, Supriya Pathak, and others. Divya has done a couple of reality shows and has in fact, also made an appearance with Bigg Boss earlier.

Ahead of her entry into Bigg Boss OTT, she got talking to India Forums about how things are different in this format, being away from Varun Sood, and more. Read the conversation here.

With OTT, everything is going to be different, are you prepared and what is going on in your head?

I think this is something that is there in my luck since even when I did MTV Spltisvilla, they had the concept of King and Queen, but when I went, the Oracle was introduced and things only changed. Later, Ace of Space was a complete new show and that is also something that was new for me. Now I think that 'mere shubh pairo se hi shuruwat hoti hai'. I am not nervous at all, I am really excited, I am from MTV, we've seen so many things.

You have done reality shows earlier, you do have a set of audience, do you think it is an advantage?

I do have a little advantage because I can perform very well under pressure and that is going to be fun. Also, others have seen me maybe, and I don't know how will they react and they might know somethings about me. But luckily, there is not going to be any love angle this time, and it is going to be individual Divya Agarwal, so that is going to be intersting even for the audience. In fact, even I will be able to understand how can I manage alone.

Was it a conscious decision to do the show without Varun?

After Ace of Space, we decided that we will not do any show together because the show has different challenges, there are emotional challenges with each other, and when there are other people, there is an excuse that we don't know you, you can be nominated, etc. But when Varun used to come in between such a decision, so it used to be difficult for me. So keeping your personality at the forefront or the love of your life in the forefront, it becomes a difficult decision. So this time, I will be stress free. Maybe I will not have any attachment to anyone in the beginning, but that might change later, who is who, etc.

Why the OTT show, you've been doing a lot of web for that matter. Tell us more?

Voot because it is very close to me, and OTT because people geenrally call my personality OTT, so this time, it is going to be put to use somewhere and I can use my energy somewhere. I don't have this that I am doing this hence I don't want to do something else, and I want to do everything. My song for example, is going to come, be there for a while, and then the web show will come, and they will like me as an actor. All those things are professionally, but this is something that is a personality based show, and I want to show it to the naiton. I guess I have changed a lot after my first show.

There is a big name like Karan Johar that will be associated with the show, will you Weekend Ka Vaar?

I am not going to miss it, I will wait for it, because I have been telling people from now itself that I will see them next week. I am very well prepared for Karan Johar and Salman Khan, and I want to share a story with the former as to how the first set that I ever saw was a KJo set, and I was a bakcground artist, in Student of the Year with Alia, Sidharth, and Varun. I got 800 Rs that time and from there to here, this is a remakrable journey, and I hope he can be proud about it too.

Also, what is your current equation with Priyank, he said that you both are on good terms. Tell us more?

I have taken all of my tips from him only, he has also been calling me out on how she is asking for tips and there was also such a huge fiasco, but then everything is fine, and we have made peace with the kind of personalities we were. Maybe we weren't good together but individually we are really good and we have a stable relationship, so we have bene thankful to each other since we at least got the best partners in our lives, and everything is sorted now. The Divya earlier was scared and nervous, but this time, she is different.

What was Varun's reaction, especially given the fact that he was also away for Khatron. 

This is his punishment because he left me for two months, and he used to tell me 'I am busy I can't talk now' so I am like this time is a show where he won't even be able to call me. It was a little emotional, of course, he knows that I manage my time since I am a little headstorng, but he is a little emotional and emotionally dependent on me because we are also good friends, and he will miss me a lot. Even when we were talking, he told me that don't shout on someone if they make bad tea, since I am particular about it. He keeps telling me that don't do this or that in Bigg Boss.

There's a Bigg Boss being played inside and one outside too, is Varun and everyone else prepared for that?

I think the reason for me going into the show is becaus enot jsut me, but my friends and family have all seen so much during COVID-19 that they have accepted what it is and have become mentally strong. Every time, one concern was that the show is not going to be just about me, but everyone else as well. Varun is really prepared and he knows I will do it, he has a lot of confidence in me.

Many unknown secrets come out during the show, if that was to happen, are you ready for it?

There are some secrets, but I am sure they are so old secrets, and I have come so far in life, people are only going to learn from those things, because they can't be called bad, they can be called being helpless maybe.
