Bigg Boss 15's Pratik Sehajpal: I was upset and maybe I am still upset, but the love is helping me overcome it

Bigg Boss 15 found its winner in Tejasswi Prakash while Pratik Sehajpal made it to the 2nd spot on the show this year. He must have been defeated but he has indeed managed to score a big win on hearts and social media, his interactions, etc., are all proof of the same.

India Forums got a chance to catch up with Pratik a day after the finale and he was all smiles as he spoke all things Bigg Boss, his friends from the show, and what he looks forward to ahead.

We saw you break down on the stage, and it was sure a sad moment. How sad were you and are you still sad about it?

I always say that I don't challenge God, he does what he does for good, I did want the trophy but when I hugged the trophy, I felt like it was mine. The love I have received from everyone, it means a lot to me. I was upset and maybe I am still upset, but the love I am receiving is helping me overcome it. I haven't seen so much love in my life and this is my first time that people are supporting me so much. I believed in it, I strongly wanted this and it has happened. 

I feel blessed and for my family, everyone has accepted me as the winner. I have always thought that the journey I have had inside, the growth that there has been, I will not be able to see it, but my sister and everyone else has seen my growth every second and it is so special. I haven't seen those trends, sometimes I feel like it is a dream, a dream that has come true.

The trio of you, Shamita, Nishant aka PraNiSha was also quite a highlight on the show. How has your bond been and to what extent have they been your pillars of support?

I had a bond with Nishant from OTT and we knew we would stand by each other and we did, but with Shamita, the ending days lead to a very strong bond with her and I really love her and I did not expect that to build up. She is an amazing woman and she has supported me a lot and we were so close that if one had tears, the other had tears too, and that is the kind of love we had for each other and it is not as easy to happen.

A lot of flak has come Tejasswi's way while many root for you. What do you have to say about it?

Her mom-dad must have also prayed for her, she also had people praying for her, and I think she deserved to win and hence she did win, she received love and so did I, and I don't think there has been any 'kami' in all that I have received. I am nothing without 'Pratik Fam'.

Karan did not get evicted but Umar was evicted, do you think he was a softer target?

Honestly, I did not appeal either of the time, and what happened, I did not expect it to happen. Salman bhai gave Karan a warning and Umar also got a warning, but I think it still happened. He did a great job, he earned his identity on the show. When he left, I was like 'what is this'. I felt that one conquers such a long journey and one mistake leads to this. I am sure he would've been in the top 3 if he was still there.

We saw a controlled Pratik this time, how much did it take for you to be that?

Salman is my ideal and he is my role model, and I want to be like him. And when I saw that my ideal is not liking something about me, and when he said something right, I thought I should do something about it and he feels proud of me, and he told me about it next week. I felt really good about the fact that I could change my image in his mind and I appreciate it.

We saw you leave with Akasa, so what's happening?

We are very good friends, and we are just good friends, and she is an amazing girl. If she was in the house, she would've done well, she has a lot of potential. She is a strong, highly opinionated girl, and I wish the best for her, she is a great girl, and we are going to be great friends.

What's next for you?

My goal is acting, movies, TV, and web, everything that comes our way. Reality shows will also come my way, if Khatron Ke Khiladi comes my way, I will take it, whatever comes my way, I will thank god and move ahead in life with it.
