Big Announcements! 'The Batman' Trailer, 'Shazam' Sequel & 'Black Adam' Among Others Revealed in DC Fandome

DC Fandome certainly turned out to be an absolute delight where we recently revealed about the teaser of Suicide Squad sequel, The Flash teaser and Wonder Woman 1984 were recently revealed. Now there are other major highlights from the event that can be looked at-

“We’ve only shot 25% of the movie,” said The Batman director Matt Reeves today during his DC Fandome panel, “but there was no way I couldn’t show part of the movie.” “The hell you suppose to be?” asks the leader of white-painted face gang to the Dark Knight. “I’m vengeance,” says Robert Pattinson’s Batman.

Apart from this, Reeves divulged details about the HBO Max series connected to the pic, which he’s executive producing with Boardwalk Empire creator Terence Winter. Reeves said the series is a prequel to his Batman Year Two movie, with the show set in Batman Year One when a “masked vigilante…starts to unsettle the city”. The series will zero in on the city’s corruption that “goes back many years,” said Reeves and is told from the POV of a crooked cop.

At the Fancdome virtual panel, director James Wan teased a new direction with Aquaman 2. Though Wan wants to further develop the stories of Aquaman‘s characters, he yearned to do something fresh and exciting with the second installment.

“I think the second one is a little bit more serious, a little bit more relevant in the world we are living in today. I think that’s where it wants to go,” said Wan.

Patrick Wilson, who plays Orm Marius, told Wan he’d like to see new worlds for Aquaman 2. Wilson commented, “I know [Wan] loves world-building and I’d like to see some of that. I know you’re going to push that ocean. There’s a lot of unexplored ocean!” Aquaman 2 is slated for a December 2022 release.

And now, after being a hit in theaters, the sequel to Shazam! is also being planned and was given a new direction. Zachary Levi took the virtual dais in the Hall of Heroes to give us some details about the forthcoming sequel — even though he couldn’t share much. In fact, he couldn’t share anything at all except for the new title: Fury of the Gods.

Levi was, at first, alone on screen, but one by one, cast members including  Asher Angel, Meagan Good, Jack Dylan Grazer, Faithe Herman, Adam Brody, director David F. Sandberg and Sinbad (who many thought was in the first film) popped up on the screen to talk about how much they couldn’t talk about the movie except for the new title, which Herman “drew” on the poster.

And finally, the teaser for Black Adam starring Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock was also revealed with the actor's voiceover highlighting on the same.
