Actress Shubhangi Atre, known and loved for her role in Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain, celebrated her birthday this year in her signature simple and heartfelt style. Talking about her birthday plans, she shares, “I took the day off today. There’s no big plan as such. I’ll go to the temple that’s my birthday ritual every year. People will call to wish me, my family will also wish me, and maybe a few close friends will come over in the evening. But there’s no grand celebration. I haven’t really planned anything.”
When asked if she enjoys big parties, she smiles and says, “I’m the kind of person who enjoys staying at home. As actors, we have such hectic schedules that sometimes we get so tired, we don’t even want to move from one place to another. So I prefer house parties and dinner at home with close friends and family. That’s how I like to celebrate.” She adds," birthdays are more emotional for me than glamorous even a simple homemade cake by my daughter Aashi means more to me than any fancy party.”
While many actors end up working on their birthday, Shubhangi has been lucky. She says,”I really love my work. And I’m lucky to have such amazing producers Binaferr ma’am and Sanjay sir. They really take good care of us. So, almost every year, I’ve had my birthday off. I’ve never had to shoot on this day.”

Talking about the most special gift she’s received, Shubhangi says with warmth, “The most treasured gift I’ve received is my family, my friends, and my lovely daughter Aashi from the Almighty. I’m really grateful to have her in my life.”
Over the years, she has often shared how her daughter makes her birthday extra special. “Aashi makes cards for me every year. She also decorates the house with little surprises. Her love is the biggest gift for me.”
This year too, Shubhangi is focusing on the emotional and spiritual side of celebrating. When asked what non-materialistic gift she would give herself, she replies, “If I could give myself one thing, it would be peace of mind. That’s the most precious gift anyone can have. I always believe that no matter how much you achieve, if your mind isn’t calm, nothing feels complete. Life gets very busy, especially for us actors, so I really value those quiet moments where I can just breathe, think, and feel peaceful.”
And who makes her birthday feel complete? Without hesitation, she says, “I can’t choose just one person. My birthday is incomplete without my family, my daughter Aashi, and a few of my close friends.”
