#BestOf2017: Twists and Turns on Indian TV shows that took the viewers by surprise!

What is an Indian Television show without twists and turns after all! As we write our yearly wrap up, one of the most talked about aspects of the shows has to be the kind of twists and turns that have left the viewers flabbergasted time and again.

While there are n number of shows that we could probably list down in here, we chose the top 5, and here's what we think might have had the viewers in a pleasing fix.

Naamkarann - Ananya's revelation of her identity

Naamkarann on Star Plus has been one such show that has kept the viewers glued to it with its interesting twists and turns time and again. The show has successfully made it to the cut because the show sure did take everyone by storm when Ananya (Aditi Rathore) finally revealed her real identity of Avni before Neil (Zain Imam) and they shared an emotional moment.

Ishqbaaaz - Shivaay & Anika's separation drama

This one did have all our hearts broken because Shivaay (Nakuul Mehta) and Anika (Surbhi Chandna) parted ways just when the viewers thought there's going to be a happily ever after beginning for the two. With the way things were going between the two, we thought that they are going to have an extended honeymoon phase, but to our surprise, no such thing happened and their ups and downs were nothing short of a roller coaster ride.

Beyhadh - Maya faking her own death

Beyhadh has been one such show that has kept the viewers engrossed and hooked effortlessly, courtesy Jennifer Winget aka Maya. The show has always given the viewers some major bewildering moments and one such scene was when Maya was shown dead in the show, only to come back with utmost rage and anger. One of the most touted twists throughout its run, we are definitely not going to forget that moment from the show.

Udaan - The 5-year leap post Chakor coming out of jail

Next on our list, we have Colors' TRP topper, Udann, which did take everyone by surprise just before the leap when Chakor (Meera Deosthale) killed Kamal Narayan and was sent to jail. While that was one unexpected incidence, what followed was nothing short of a shock because post the 5-year leap, things in Azadganj changed from bad to worse.

Kumkum Bhagya - Pragya refuses to stop Abhi & Tanu's marriage

Well, the marriage happening or not, Pragya (Sriti Jha) refusing to stop Abhi (Shabbir Ahluwalia) and Tanu's marriage despite Dadi asking her to was a rather shocking moment because Pragya being the self that she is, wouldn't ever refuse Dadi for anything she says but she did.
