Two or more shows coming together on Indian Television for a grand maha-integration episode is a very common phenomenon. While such things do help boast the TRPs of the show, they also do add concrete content and help the makers bring freshness to it.

And, as this year comes to an end, here's a list of shows that aired mahasangam episodes thereby bringing meaningful content to their tracks and adding new twists to them.

Two of Star Plus' much loved shows, Ishqbaaaz and Dil Boley Oberoi had a week long mahasangam, titled Oberoi special which finally showed Pinky's revelation before Shivaay (Nakuul Mehta) and all other family members. On the other hand, the week also saw the entry of Bhavya (Mansi Srivastava) and raked in great numbers for both the shows.

Shakti...Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki and Savitri Devi College and Hospital
Yet another integration of one of the TRP toppers with a rather recent show; this one was shot within Savitri Devi College and Hospital, the episode saw Saachi turn Harman's saviour. Saachi (Swarda Thigale) informs Harman (Vivian Dsena) about Soumya's (Ruibina Dilaik) decision of kidney donation thereby helping Harman to stop Soumya from doing so.

Two of the most recent shows on Colors, Ishq Mein Marjawan and Tu Aashiqui turned out to be underdogs for the channel, the latter now being one of the top 10 shows on the TRP charts. The mahasangam episode for these two shows saw Arohi (Aalisha Panwar) and Deep (Rithvik Arora) come together to help each other and come out of their troubles.

The trend of maha-integrations for a parent show with its spin-off was taken forward by the Ekta Kapoor shows Kundali Bhagya and Kumkum Bhagya. In a Ganesh Chaturthi special, the star cast of the show was seen coming together, and Pragya (Sriti Jha) unites with Abhi (Shabbir Ahluwalia) and her sisters Preeta (Shraddhar Arya) and Srishti (Anjum Fakih). Jeetendra also made a special appearance in the episode along with actors Arjun Bijlani, Karanvir Bohra, Adaa Khan.

Ek Shringaar Swabhimaan and Sasural Simar Ka

Their maha-integration saw Naina (Ankita Sharma) from Swabhimaan having a special appearance in Sasural Simar Ka. Her entry opened up a lot of closed mysteries while Roshni helped her solve those myseries. Naina on the other hand, helps Roshni find her husband, Piyush (Varun Sharma).
