#BB9 Flashback: Mandana Karimi's journey in the Bigg Boss house!

Who would have thought Mandana Karimi would make it to the finals, when she entered the Bigg Boss house. The actress is currently just two films old, where one of them released yesterday, while she is still in the house. But her antiques on the show has made her a popular household name today.

One of the biggest high points for Mandana was that she made an instant impact in the house with her actions. Be it indulging in several arguments with various housemates for no reason or getting involved in fights during the tasks. The factors may have been unacceptable but it made Mandana the talk-of-the-town.' In fact it wouldn't be wrong to say that she pulled off the first few weeks of Bigg Boss 9 single handedly, where all other contestants failed to impress.

She made a statement in the commencing days of the show, that I am an individual and will remain one throughout the show.' Various contestants have gone ahead and made this claim across the seasons, however few have managed to keep it. Well Mandana certainly became one of them. She was unfazed by groupism tactics or people cornering against her. And tackling all of this, she stayed true to the statement.

One of the biggest clichés of the show, which was sadly true was that the foreign contestants on the show were never able to create a real impact ever. They would either get eliminated too soon or stay as a glam quotient. Mandana broke that norm and how! There were barely any moments pertaining her on the show where she lacked' anything. She was constantly on the tube for various reasons and always managed to keep the viewers glued.

Mandana's loyalty to this show became unquestionable when she chose to stay in the house in spite of Ekta Kapoor warning her to leave the show in a stipulated time. Her film, Kya Kool Hai Hum 3' released yesterday, and like any other actor who is a part of a film, she was signed to promote it. However, her stint in the house went longer than expected for Ekta. When Tusshar and Aftab came to promote the film in the house, the whole episode took a drastic turn where Mandana was sad and depressed, but stayed true to her stand, that this show is the biggest platform for anything and chose to stay.

She became one of the few contestants on the show to be constantly vocal about her opinion on several matters; sometimes relevant, sometimes irrelevant. But this particular trait always worked in her favour. It made her presence concrete and her opinion was the one to be heard at the very least.

Though on a show like Bigg Boss, being abusive has always been the least of concern, thanks to the likes of Raja Chaudhary, Dolly Bindra and Armaan Kohli in the past. However, this season saw the spawning of contestants becoming very hesitant and conscious of their image. So, in such a scenario, Mandana was the only one using them very frequently. That went on to become a big deal' and came under scrutiny multiple times.

Apart from being abusive, she also became violently physical with some contestants, primarily with Kishwer Merchantt. She kicked her once and pushed her at another instance which became a massive issue, for which she also received a lot of flak. Violent behaviour has never been leniently treated and ignored in the show and Mandana was no exception.

As much as her individual stand was applauded, her not bonding with co-contestants was also a point of major concern. She would rarely be a part of the fun activities that the housemates used to practice. A pivotal factor of the show's entertainment is the pranks the contestants pull on each other. Mandana was an exception to this, as she would not be a sport in tackling such things.

This issue was a game-turner for Mandana, who was winning appreciation for maintaining her stand after issues with Kishwer, Suyyash and Prince. She was sent in a secret room where she saw the housemates secretly and heard them. In the span, she witnessed Rochelle bitching about her with Aman and after re-entering the house she slammed Rochelle for the same. It all seemed a rational reaction, however even after realizing it was Rochelle's task to do so, she continued to accuse her which invited a lot of criticism and even received bashing from Salman.

The period of receiving negative feedback was prolonged for Mandana, when after the Rochelle propaganda, she continued to under-perform in tasks. And in fact she started to become more adamant in voluntarily not doing the chores of the house. This was not only termed to be uncooperative but she was also bashed for the same at different occasions.
