#BB10: Is it fair to target Rohan Mehra's family?

Last night's Maha episode of Bigg Boss 10 gave us a Maha dose of drama but it also involved Priyanka Jagga passing frivolous statements against Rohan over a petty issue and taking a personal dig at his family that upset Rohan and got him teary eyed with his on-screen father and housemate Karan confronted him.  

Years ago comments on Shilpa Shetty's race had caused a stir internationally and now with Priyanka's comments against Rohan's family we wonder is it right to get so personal on national television?   

It all started with Rohan accidentally dropping mug of water on Priyanka and that escalated faster than anyone can imagine in the early hours of the night waking everyone up and Rohan had to spend few minutes in the jail. But as Rohan would have wanted to amicably resolve the issue, he did so with apologizing for the human error! 

But the mud slinging and calling Rohan's family 'Bekaar' didn't go down well with his fans & also his family who is one of prominent business families in Amritsar! 

Rohan's fans condemned Priyanka's personal attack on his family on Twitter. Priyanka, who claims to know Rohan and his family prior to the show passed defamatory statements against Rohan's father.

On contacting Rohan's dad who had last come to Mumbai to see Rohan off said, "As per my knowledge, Rohan had met Priyanka years ago for a brief few minutes at a club in Delhi when he was in college. I don't understand how did she pass such statements about people she has never interacted with. We are respectable people back in our town and this is uncalled for. I'm sure Rohan is tough and will handle this without having to stoop down to her level and his actions display the family he belongs to. My son will never do anything to let us down. He is well taught on how to behave with women around him." 

Rightly said, Rohan's family is his greatest strength as well as his biggest weakness and so it is for all of us who wouldn't be able to hear anything against our families either!  

We must say, Rohan was extremely patient with Priyanka and handled the situation with a lot of maturity!
