Balraj Syal shares recent fan compliments, says his admirers appreciate his honesty and innocence on stage

Fan love means the world to Balraj Syal. The comedian, actor and host feels indebted to their constant support that inspires him to do better. He talks about the recent fan compliments and messages that made his day.

 “The compliment that I get regularly on social media, and used to get even before I got married, is that you are very honest on stage. I am also told that I look very innocent on stage. After marriage, I started getting compliments about both of us, especially for my wife. Her followers too compliment us as a couple. People really appreciate the way she adores me and the way I thank her on screen. This is the compliment I have received many times,” says Balraj, who is a part of the reality show Smart Jodi.

He also shares a recent incident that happened in Udaipur, when he went there for a show. “While I was there, I met a girl who was connected to me through social media. She came to watch my show. She made me talk to her grandfather on video call. She said her grandfather is one of my biggest fans. I feel strange when such senior people say that they like my work. I told him, ‘I guess you are not my fan, you are my admirer. I want your blessings’. This is the conversation I had with him that day. And, it felt really special,” he ends.
