Bairi Piya to go off air; Laagi to take over

Colors TV's Laagi Tujhse Lagan to take over the slot of Bairi Piya very soon…

Bairi Piya, Balaji Telefilms' first daily on Colors TV that had started in September last year is on the verge of winding up very soon, and Playtime Creations' Laagi Tujhse Lagan which is presently aired at the 9.30 PM slot is expected to take over the 8.30pm slot.

A Little Birdie informed us that, "The channel had earlier planned to shift Bairi Piya in the afternoon slot, but as there hasn't been a sufficient rise in the TRP's, the production house has decided to wrap up the show. Also as soon as the serial goes off air, Laagi Tujhse Lagan would shift from 9.30pm to 8.30pm slot and the to-be-launched reality show Fear Factor- Khatron Ke Khiladi x3 is speculated to take over Laagi's slot."

When contacted, Supriya Kumari aka Amoli, the lead protagonist of Bairi Piya confirmed the news saying, "Yes the show is going off air, we have been recently informed about the same. But I have no clue about the closure track of the serial."

If sources are to believed, the last day of shoot for Bairi Piya would be 28th August.

So, how much good will and TRP rise will the channel gain from the changed time slot and the new show is something to look forward to.
