Ayushmann Khurrana to sing a song in female voice for Dream Girl!

Ayushmann Khurrana is one such actor who has truly carved a niche for himself in the industry, owing to his peculiar film choices and remarkable performances. The actor has gained immense appreciation for his blockbuster hits like Andhadhun and Badhaai Ho. Recently, the actor gave another hit with the release of Article 15, which has been faring pretty well on the box office. He played the role of a cop for the first time in the Anubhav Sinha directorial. 

Next up is another intriguing project lined up for the star which is titled as Dream Girl! After experimenting quite a lot with his characters, Ayushmann will feature in a never seen before avatar in the Raaj Shaandilyaa directorial. He will be portraying the role of a man who has the talent of speaking in a female voice! And not just that, the actor is going to push even higher boundaries with his next flick.

The director of the film Raaj Shaandilyaa has revealed to Deccan Chronicle that Ayushmann will sing a song in female voice for Dream Girl! He quoted, “He has not sung yet, but we will make a version ready and he will be singing in a female voice for the film. It is part of the plan. Fortunately, we don’t have any remix songs in this film, we only have original tracks.”

The actor has wrapped up the shooting of the film in Matura. Produced by Ekta Kapoor, the film also features Nushrat Bharucha in the lead role. 

When asked about any connection to Hema Malini, who is popularly known as dream girl in the industry, Raaj said there is no connection in accordance to the film’s title. He stated, “This film has got nothing to do with Hema Malini. The only connection we have is with Mathura, where the film was shot and where Hemaji is the MP.”

The filmmaker further went on to talk about the film’s concept and Ayushmann’s character in the film. A few weeks ago, the first poster of the film was released wherein the actor can be seen in a sari.

 “The film is all about a boy who can speak in a female voice. The story is such where he plays two to three different characters and how he finds himself in a muddle because of talking in different voices. So one of his characters needed him to be in a sari,” Raaj explained.
