They say ‘Old is Gold’ and going by this rule, many India Television show recently incorporated retro look themes in the shows. This enables the actresses to ditch their patent looks mostly consisting of saree or salwar suit and those heavy jewellery. The actresses looked ethereal in the retro looks. It won’t be wrong to state that somewhere down the line, this has become the new trend in the telly world. Have a look at actresses who rocked in yesteryear heroines’ get up.

Ayesha Singh as Sai

Well, this particular sequence happened in ‘Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin’ a while ago when Virat imagined performing with Sai on her college function. Ayesha got some seven changes in the song depicting the style from 50s, 70s and 90s. The sequence was quite hyped and was loved by the viewers.

Priyanka Chaudhary as Tejo

Tejo goes to a friend’s engagement party where the theme was retro. The sequence turned out to the most crucial one as it was in this sequence that Tejo learned about Fateh and Jasmine’s affair. Priyanka rocked the look of ‘Mumtaz’ from the popular song ‘Aaj kal tere mere pyaar ke charche’. The makers experimented with the colour of the saree as they made Tejo ditch the orange colour and go for a navy blue saree with golden border.

Krutika Desai as Radhika

While Tejo ditched the orange-coloured saree look of actress Mumtaz, Saath Nibhana Saathiya 2 makers kept the original look in mind and designed a similar one for Krutika Desai who plays Radhika in the show. The show had a birthday sequence wherein the theme was retro. Krutika made sure to click many pictures and dance on the iconic song for her social media handle.

Anchal Sahu as Bondita

Before taking the wedding vows, Bondita and Anirudh did an extremely adorable photoshoot in which they posed as hero-heroines of yesteryears. Anchal had a few changes for the sequence and she tried more than one retro look, but her look as Nargis Dutt from iconic song ‘Pyaar Hua Ikraar Hua’ stole the show.

Nimrit Kaur Alhuwalia as Seher

During Seher and Rajveer’s sangeet ceremony, theme was retro and Nimrit aced the look in orange saree teamed with polka dotted print. Seher and Rajveer also gave a rocking performance on the popular song ‘Ek Mai Aur Ek Tu’.

Sneha Jain as Gehna

While the makers gave Mumtaz’s look to Radhika for the retro themed party sequence, they gave Nargis Dutt’s look but with a twist. Sneha aka Gehna looked pretty in the attire and also danced with her Anant jee.
