Avneet Kaur Faces Allegations Of Cheating and Unpaid Dues by A Jewellery Brand

Avneet Kaur has been accused of cheating by a small jewelry brand. The brand recently went on their official Instagram account and posted a lengthy statement claiming that the actress had 'exploited' them. They mentioned that there was a 'verbal agreement' with Avneet for a barter collaboration. In this deal, Avneet was supposed to tag the brand on Instagram while wearing their jewelry. However, Avneet forgot to tag the brand. When reminded, she declined and agreed to pay for the items she received. Nevertheless, the brand has yet to receive the payment.

“Avneet Kaur, actress and influencer, sourced jewellery from our brand RANG, for her recent trip to Europe. There was a verbal commitment with her stylist in exchange for wearing our pieces during her travels. Avneet agreed to tag RANG in her social media posts. On June 29, 2024, we sent her a selection of 9 exquisite pieces including a double floral earrings, twisted loop handcuff bracelet and leaf motif earrings. Trusting that she would follow through this commitment," the statement read.

The situation escalated as it was revealed that Avneet sported the brand's jewelry on multiple occasions during her journey alongside other prestigious brands. Despite tagging the luxury brands, she omitted tagging the smaller Indian venture.

“When Avneet did not tag our brand in her first post, we contacted her stylist. The stylist said she spoke to Avneet, who agreed to credit our brand in a different post with another outfit. However, when Avneet posted again, she still did not give credit. We then messaged the stylist once more asking why Avneet had not credited our brand. Avneet replied to the stylist saying “Hey I’ll pay them how much is it". We responded by explaining that it wasn’t about the money but about sticking to what was decided and the reason we sourced the jewellery for Avneet," the statement added.

After a lot of back and forth, Avneet finally agreed to settle the dues with the brand. Yet, when they forwarded an invoice her way, she reportedly declined to pay, arguing that it was a barter deal and she would only share a post on Instagram.
