A beautiful song with a deep meaning brought to life by Manna Dey's voice. It is focused on the character of Sher Khan (Pran), a pathan, who would die for his friend and for whom friendship is his faith. The lyrics by Gulshan Bawra are engaging and heart-warming. It is an eternal song which speaks of long-lived friendship.


This song is India's hymn of friendship. Sholay made the history of Indian cinema with the iconic characters of Jai and Veeru, played by Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra respectively, as inseparable pals.
