Ashish Sharma the actor turned director!

The talented actor Ashish Sharma who was last seen in the daily soap Rab Se Sohna Isshq on Zee TV, has turned a co-director for the ongoing MTV show 'Saturday Night Full Tight'. Well he is soon going to come up with his own production house too. To know more about the same and his upcoming projects on television we got in touch with Ashish Sharma.

He seems to be enjoying the much needed break with his wife Archana Taide and Ashish says, "After my last show as an actor Rab Se Sohna Isshq, I am enjoying the much needed break. I recently have got married and since then I did not have time to spend with my wife. So currently I am the house-husband (laughs) and I am enjoying it."

But well it seems he is not on break. When we asked him about his upcoming plans Ashish said, "I am currently the co-director for the MTV show 'Saturday Night Full Tight'. I am enjoying being a director too."

Ashish is all set to come up with his own production house and he said, "I have got some things planned up. It's there and it's all done. Soon I will be launching my own production house."

Further he elaborated saying, "It has been long 5 to 6 years that I am into television and movies, alongside I also wanted to get into direction and open my own production house. I was lucky enough that with all the directors that I have worked so far I have got to learn a lot from them too. They gave me the opportunity to learn and observe things behind the camera too."

So will we get to see him on television as an actor soon? Here is what Ashish said, "Honestly, I am in no hurry. I am enjoying this break as an actor. If something interesting comes my way, then I would happily take it."

He says that nowadays the shows are very much female centric, "Nowadays all that we see on television are mostly female centric shows. There is nothing much for the male actor to do in the show. I am not saying that I want to do a male oriented show only, but a show where the focus is equal towards male and female."

"In the past which ever shows I have done were equally balanced with the male and the female lead," concludes Ashish.
