Ashish Chanchlani announces new Web Series ‘Ekaki’

After being in the spotlight due to the India’s Got Latent controversy, popular content creator Ashish Chanchlani is back with a brand-new project. Taking a short break, he has now returned as a director and producer, announcing his upcoming web series Ekaki.

Ashish shared the exciting news on social media, unveiling two first-look posters that quickly caught fans' attention. One of the posters shows him holding a lantern in the dark, surrounded by creepy hands, suggesting a suspenseful and eerie theme. Another poster shows mysterious figures holding lanterns in front of a large house, hinting at a supernatural twist.

Ekaki marks Chanchlani’s debut in the world of web series and is set to combine horror with comedy. He has taken on multiple roles for this project—including writer, director, producer, and lead actor—under his own production banner, ACV Studios. The series will be available on the ACV Studios YouTube channel.

Joining him in the cast are Akash Dodeja, Harsh Rane, Sidhanth Sarfare, Shashank Shekar, Rohit Sadhwani, and Grishim Nawani. With such a team on board, the show promises an entertaining and thrilling experience for viewers.

While fans are excited about the series, Chanchlani is also dealing with a legal issue. He was named in an FIR filed in Guwahati related to the roast comedy show India’s Got Latent, in which fellow YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia is the main accused. In February 2025, Ashish appealed to the Supreme Court to either cancel the FIR or transfer the case to Mumbai.

Despite the controversy, Ashish sent a heartfelt message to his followers, assuring them he would overcome the tough phase. He asked fans to continue supporting him and to look forward to his new work.

With Ekaki, Ashish Chanchlani is set to begin a new chapter in his creative journey, offering fans something different from his usual comedy sketches—this time filled with suspense, fear, and laughter.
