Indian Television has an array of genres to offer; while many of the current shows began on a high note, they all gradually turned into what a typical daily soap looks like.

With very less to experiment with, and fewer people who'd take that risk, what we see on TV always zeroes down to kitchen politics, saas - bahu dramas and some over melodramatic love stories.

However, there are certain out of the box shows with a different concept that do gain critical acclaim, but it is ultimately those daily soaps that make it to the cut in the race of TRPs.

Ashi Singh, who is currently seen essaying the role of Naina in Sony TV show Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai, in conversation with us, told us about how she doesn't watch daily soaps or Indian Television at all for that matter.

"I don't watch TV, because all that is there is saas bahu drama, and daily soaps aren't just real. All I have ever loved watching are shows on Zindagi because they are realistic at so many levels, and nowhere close to daily soaps," said Ashi.

Well, we are sure that your fans would at some levels resonate with your ideas, Ashi. However, a show like Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai is what the viewers will never mind watching, would they?
