As an actor, I get my adrenaline rush from doing something different: Yami Gautam Dhar on 'Dasvi'

Dasvi was recently released on the OTT platform, and although the film is already being praised as a wholesome entertainer with terrific performances, Yami Gautam received the best praises from none other than her family, friends, and the rest of the team during early screenings.

The actress is on a victorious trend, as her most recent film, 'A Thursday,' was praised by both audiences and reviewers for masterfully conveying a multi-layered character. With the kinds of project selections she's been making, Yami's career graph is only going up.

The response she received from her family and friends was quite remarkable. Yami says,

"I had a lot of fun portraying a Haryanvi officer in the film and I'm pleased about the early reception to my performance. My family, team, and a few friends who are usually honest with me about their thoughts watched it a few days ago, and I'm delighted they were able to identify with my character throughout the movie. Now I'm looking forward to hearing what the crowd has to say. As an actor, I get my adrenaline rush from attempting something completely unusual."

Yami Gautam plays a police officer for the first time in her career, and she thinks that by doing so, she would be able to overcome stereotypes with Dasvi. Tushar Jalota, the director, has stated that the actress was his first and only option for the part.
