Aruna Singhal to play Malti's mom in Bidaai..

Aruna Singhal, popular for her role of Pooja Aunty in Hum Paanch is all set to enter Star Plus' Sapna Babul Ka Bidaai, produced by Director's Kut. She will be playing mother of Malti (Ashita Dhawan). 

Her character will be an interesting one, and is one step ahead of her daughter in all means.

We talked to Aruna who said, "If Malti has the punch line, 'Jhoot toh main bolti nahi', her mom always says 'Bhagwan jhoot na bulwaye'. She is a very cute character, who loves her daughter very much. She comes to visit her daughter who is pregnant. She plans a two days stay initially, but then does not think of going out of the house at all".

"She is not a negative character, but unintentionally she taunts everyone with her words. For instance, I shot a scene where she sees her daughter cooking, and ends up making a comment that her daughter is toiling for the family even when she is pregnant. She feels that her daughter's in-laws cannot take care of her pregnant daughter in the way she does", adds Aruna.

On her look, the actress says, "I am given beautiful saris, lot of jewelry. I have a pretty modern and tip top look; I am a step ahead of my daughter when it comes to the dressing sense".

Aruna is very happy to work with Rajan Shahi. "I simply love the character and the production house. I know Rajanji for long, and am glad I got this role".

Her entry will be aired on May 15th. The actress is presently doing two shows on Doordarshan, and was seen in 9X' Veeranwali.
