Arjun-Drashti's 'Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil' is NOT a remake of Pardes..??

The upcoming Ekta Kapoor show, 'Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil' has been the talk of the town since its announcement. After roping in mega-star, Drashti Dhami to play the lead, the casting for the male lead was a newsmaker for sure.

Initially Shaleen Malhotra did the mock shoot with Drashti, however, was dropped later. And filling in the shoes came actor Arjun Bijlani, who is currently at the peak of his career due to the massive fame from 'Naagin' and now 'Jhalak Dikhla Jaa'.

Now that the shoot has just begun, there have been rumours surfing around that the show is apparently a REMAKE of the superhit film, 'Pardes' which starred Shah Rukh Khan, Mahima Chaudhary and Apurva Agnihotri.

However, according to our sources, the show is NOT a remake of 'Pardes' as apparently Arjun and Drashti play husband and wife in the show and it doesn't justify the concept of Pardes.

It is now been said that in fact the show is loosely based on the film, 'Dhadkan' starring Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Shilpa Shetty.

We contacted Arjun, who said, "To be honest, it has just been two days since I have started shooting and the script is really tight. So, that's all I can say."

Whatever may the show is based on, the fans are desperately waiting for the show..!
