Arjun Aneja opens up about his character Tapan in 'SatyaPrem Ki Katha': was inspired by SRK from Darr

Recently, in a tete-tete with us, Arjun spoke about his character and recalled being inspired by 'Shahrukh Khan's' character from Darr for one of his scenes in the film.

Popular actor Arjun Aneja is currently the talk of the town for his stellar performance in the Bollywood film- Satyaprem Ki Katha, which was released on June 29. The film has been receiving a great response from the audience. Recently, in a tete-tete with us, Arjun spoke about his character and recalled being inspired by 'Shahrukh Khan's' character from Darr for one of his scenes in the film.

Shedding some light on his character in the film, Arjun says,

"I played Tapan, Kiara Advani's boyfriend in the film. My character holds a significant place in the film and is responsible for bringing major developments to the storyline. I thoroughly enjoyed playing Tapan as it was a negative character."

Further recalling filming for one of his scenes, Arjun says,

"I remember shooting for one of the fighting scenes in which I had to be beaten and it was quite a challenging scene to shoot, but I took inspiration from a climax scene from Darr where Sunny Deol beats Shahrukh Khan a lot. I remember the amazing reactions which were given by Shahrukh Sir during that scene. I tried to do my best in the scene by making the scene look real with impressive emotions."

Though Arjun's character Tapan had small screen space, his name created waves in the film. Lastly, sharing the response he has been receiving for his performance in the movie, Arjun says,

"During the whole film, the audience seemed very curious to know about my character Tapan. The feedback has been wonderful but the audience seemed quite disappointed as they wanted to see more scenes of mine. I have been receiving messages from people saying that 'wish we could see more Tapan scenes.' "

Professionally, Arjun is known for his spectacular acting chops in television shows like Balika Vadhu, Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi, Ishq Mein Marjawan and Sadda Haq. The talented actor also played a key role in the MX Original's new web series “Hello Mini” and the Bollywood film Neerja.
