Celebrated Indian music composer AR Rahman was admitted to the Apollo Greams private hospital in Chennai. It seems he was suffering from chest pain so he was rushed to the hospital. AR Rahman was taken to the hospital at 7.30 am where tests like ECG and echocardiogram were performed on him. The doctors might do an angiogram later on to ascertain if there is a major problem. His condition is stable now. AR Rahman had been travelling since a month and it seems he got too dehydrated. This is being reported by some Tamil local portals. The singer and composer did a number of concerts as he promoted his movie Chhaava.

The musician made headlines after he announced his divorce from his wife Saira after almost three decades of marriage. The exact reasons for the same were not disclosed to the media. It seems they had serious compatibility issues since past few years. The couple did try to rekindle the old emotions of their marriage but failed. Instead of living together with bitter feelings they felt a divorce would be more suitable for them and their grown-up children. On the professional front, he composed music for Chhaava, the biggest Bollywood hit of 2025.

AR Rahman has maintained good health for the greater part of his career. Known as the Mozart of Madras, he has won Oscars for India with his compositions for Danny Boyle’s Slumdog Millionaire. His career has huge musical hits like Lagaan (2001), Roja (1993), Bombay (1994), Rangeela (1995) and more.
