Anushka-Virat raise 5 Crores in 5 Days for Covid relief

Few days ago, Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli started a fundraiser to extend financial help for the people battling Covid-19. 

The power couple in collaboration with Ketto initiated a campaign called In This Together, which aims to raise a total amount of 7 crores.

On Tuesday, Anushka and Virat took to their social media handle to share that they have raised Rs.5 Crores in five days. Taking to her Instagram Stories, the actress wrote, "A big thank you to all the people who helped us reach this mile stone''. 

The couple had donated 2 crores of the total funds and had urged other people to do their bit by contributing to the fundraiser. The duo had shared a video message saying: “India is going through an extremely difficult time and the second wave of the deadly COVID-19 pandemic has pushed our country to a state of crisis. It is time for all of us to come together and do our bit for our fellow countrymen who are in serious need for support.”

The money raised through this initiative will be passed on to a campaign that has been relentlessly working towards providing medical facilities including oxygen, medical manpower, vaccination awareness and telemedicine facilities.
