Anushka Sharma shares a glimpse of practice amid scorching heat for Chakda Xpress

Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma hasn't been seen on the big screens since a long time. Following the release of her 2018 film Zero, the actress took a sabbatical from performing, and her admirers are impatiently awaiting her return to the big screen. 

Interestingly, Anushka Sharma will make her comeback with Chakda Xpress, a biopic about ace Indian cricketer Jhulan Goswami. Anushka Sharma will portray Jhulan in the film, and the actress has been practising at the cricket stadium to get into the character's skin.

Anushka has been snapped practising her batting and bowling abilities and sweating profusely on the pitch recently. In fact, the actress from Jab Tak Hai Jaan has been keeping her fans up to date on her preparations. Anushka uploaded a photo of herself after a practice session on her Instagram story. 

In the photo, the actress was seen sporting a black t-shirt and a pair of trendy spectacles. She was photographed showing off her post-practice glow. "Post practice in this heat wave," Anushka captioned the photo.

Anushka had previously released the film's teaser, describing it as "a special film" since it is "a narrative of immense sacrifice." She said,

"Chakda Xpress is based on the lives and times of former Indian captain Jhulan Goswami and will provide a fascinating insight into the world of women's cricket." 

The actress further explained, 

"This film is a dramatic retelling of several events in her life, as well as women's cricket." 

As per reports, Anushka will be flying to the UK to shoot a 30-day schedule for the biopic.
