Anushka Sharma keeps it raw as she gets papped training for Chakda Xpress

Anushka Sharma has been away from the screens for quite some time now, but as we know, the wait is finally over and the actress is all set to break her hiatus with Chakda Xpress. In her forthcoming film Chakda Xpress, Anushka Sharma will play Indian cricketer Jhulan Goswami. Anushka has commenced her training in an attempt to get in form to play the professional cricketer efficiently.

In training for her role, the actor was photographed on a cricket field conducting practice drills and warm-ups in the frames on Tuesday. Anushka can be seen practicing warm-ups and strength and conditioning in the nets at a Mumbai cricket stadium in paparazzi photos. According to reports the shoot will begin soon and will be completed later this year.

Jhulan Goswami is widely recognised as one of India's finest female cricketers, and she owns the world record for most One Day International wickets. Over the previous 20 years, the fast bowler has played 274 games for India, making her international debut in 2002. The film is based on her life experiences and how she climbed to fame at a period when women's cricket fought for attention.

Anushka had commented on social media about the film last month, and said,

"When Jhulan decided to become a cricketer and represent her country on the international level, it was extremely difficult for women to even consider taking up the sport. This is a dramatic reenactment of various events in her life, as well as women's cricket."

The film, helmed by Susanta Das, will be releasing on Netflix, although no official release date has been set. Anushka's look as Jhulan was revealed in a clip released last month to promote the film. Anushka spoke in Bengali in the clip, but many people complained that her accent was off. The actor, on the other hand, was chastised and mocked for her unpersuasive Bengali accent.
