Anushka Sharma and her husband Virat Kohli welcomed their first child, daughter Vamika, in 2021. Since then, the starlet has resumed her commercial engagements and even begun training for her upcoming sports film Chakda Xpress. In a recent interview with Harper's Bazaar, Anushka shared her thoughts on motherhood and the lives of working mums.

Talking about the same she expressed what she thinks about work ethics in the industry. "It's all about 'run, run, run' in my industry, it's a rat race, and you have to be a member of it. But I'm not just another rat in the rat race."

She further stated that she wants to have fun with her life. She appreciates being in a room with a bunch of creative people, brainstorming ideas, coming up with new ways to approach a scenario, and considering how the audience will relate to it. It's all so enjoyable and she never wants to stop.

However, the actress' situation has changed now that she is a mother, and maintaining a work-life balance is critical. Anushka elaborated on the topic, saying,

"Striking a work-life balance is certainly harder for women. I don’t think people understand the life and emotions of a working mother, because the world is so male-dominated. Heck, I’m a woman; even I didn’t understand it till I became a mother."

She further shared that she has a deep respect and love for women, as well as a strong sense of sisterhood. She has always advocated for women, but feeling love and compassion for the cause gives it a whole new meaning.

Meanwhile, Anushka Sharma's film Chakda Xpress will be releasing digitally on Netflix.
