Anupamaa's Aashish Mehrotra on dealing with hate and trolls: I think I function well that way

Star Plus show Anupamaa is one of the post popular shows on India Television and has been fairing extremely well aa it maintains the number 1 spot across all GECs. Produced by Rajan and mother Deepa Shahi, it features Rupali Ganguly, Sudhanshu Pandey, Alpana Buch, Arvind Vaidya, Paras Kalnawat, Anagha Bhonsle, Aashish Mehrotra, Nidhi Shah, Madalsa Sharma among others.

Aashish Mehrotra, who plays the role of Paritosh Shah is also a key character in the show and has been subject to mixed reactions from the fans given the shift in his character graph. Ask him how does he deal with all the trolling and hatred online, and he told India Forums, "I think I function really well this way because I don't go through my Instagram too much, in terms of reading the comments and everything. And recently, I happened to notice how there's this one guy who sent me one message thrice, to get it noticed, and I'm like what is wrong with him. He said things like do you not understand what your parents say, and how you should die, and stuff like that and I wanted to replying saying thankyou so much because this is what is needed if I am justifying this and you're getting that angry at me, then my purpose of being an actor is fulfiled. I'm just praying that the character shift does not make way for death threats and that something happens that makes Toshu straight or positive. (Laughs)"

Currently, Aashish's character is shown to leave the Shah house after he tells everyone that he feels suffocated in the environment that he loves in. While things with Paakhi have gotten better after the annual day dance competition, Paritosh's equation with everyone has only gotten worse. What follows next will be interesting as to how will he cope up with everything that is ahead of him.
