Anupamaa: The Kotharis reject Rahi upon learning she is an orphan

After the leap, Anupamaa shifts focus to Anupama's grown-up grandchildren, with Rahi and Prem's love story taking centre stage. The entry of the wealthy Kothari family stirs tension as Prem's bitter past with them resurfaces. Meanwhile, under Moti Baa's influence, Rahi agrees to marry Prem, planning to pursue her dreams post-marriage. Though she initially rejected the Kotharis' proposal to focus on her career, Anupama fears her hasty decision may lead to unforeseen challenges.

In the upcoming episode of Anupamaa, the Kotharis finally obtain Rahi's kundali. After carefully analyzing it, the priest warns Moti Baa that Rahi's horoscope indicates a significant threat to Prem's well-being.

At the same time, Rahi and Prem are seen enjoying each other's company. As they spend time together, an accident nearly occurs when a ladder suddenly begins to fall. However, they manage to react swiftly and escape unharmed just before it crashes down.

Back at the Kothari household, Moti Baa is deeply disturbed by the priest's words. Without wasting any time, she instructs Khyati to contact Anupama, insisting on an urgent meeting. Later, Moti Baa, Khyati, and Parag visit a temple, where they meet Anupama, Rahi, and Hasmuk. They waste no time in revealing what the priest has predicted after examining both Rahi and Prem's horoscopes.

Hearing this, Rahi confidently counters the claim, stating that the priest has based his reading solely on her date of birth, which does not guarantee absolute accuracy. In response, Moti Baa reminds her that the exact birth time was never provided by her mother. This leads Anupama to make a startling revelation—she discloses that she never gave birth to Rahi. Instead, she and Anuj had adopted Rahi from an ashram in Mumbai.

Everyone is left in shock upon hearing the truth. Overcome with anger, Moti Baa declares that more than Prem's life, the honour and reputation of their family are under threat. She firmly states that had they known Rahi was an orphan, they would have never accepted this alliance in the first place.
