Anupamaa: Anupama chooses friendship with Raghav after turning down his proposal

In tonight's episode of Anupamaa, Raghav apologises to Anupama for how he expressed his emotions earlier. He explains that he didn't mean to blurt out his feelings impulsively and had intended to speak with grace and respect. Unknown to them, Rahi and Gautam overhear this heartfelt conversation. Raghav once again seeks forgiveness for opening up about his love.

Rahi is visibly upset by Raghav's confession, whereas Gautam senses that his own position in the family might be at risk. Anupama acknowledges Raghav's feelings and tells him that there's nothing wrong in what he shared. Raghav admits that he wasn't expecting anything in return. Anupama gently responds that while his emotions are valid, her heart still belongs to Anuj. She makes it clear that she can only offer him friendship. Raghav reassures her that he never expected more and requests her not to feel burdened.

Despite the emotional tension, Anupama chooses to continue her friendship with Raghav. Meanwhile, Gautam informs Moti Baa about the entire incident. Rahi, disturbed by what she overheard, shares her concern with Prem. She expresses her inability to accept anyone else in Anupama's life in place of Anuj. Prem encourages her to trust Anupama's choices and reminds her to remain composed for the sake of Aryan and Mahi.

Later, as Anupama distributes sweets to the family, Moti Baa taunts her by suggesting she's preparing for her marriage with Raghav. Her comment shocks both the Shahs and the Kotharis. Parag questions Moti Baa's accusation, to which Moti Baa replies that Gautam heard Raghav's confession himself. Gautam confirms this, prompting Moti Baa to accuse Leela of having prior knowledge of the matter. Leela's silence fuels the speculation.

Gautam begins mocking Anupama, but she responds firmly, refusing to let his comments shake her. He then drags Rahi into the discussion, claiming she also witnessed the moment. However, Prem intervenes before Rahi can say anything. Gautam continues to create drama, but Anupama gives him a stern warning, making it clear that she won't tolerate his interference.

Moti Baa demands clarity on the relationship between Anupama and Raghav. Standing firm, Anupama upholds her self-respect and clarifies that her bond with Raghav is purely based on friendship and will remain so, leaving everyone taken aback by her conviction. Moti Baa taunts her, implying that she must have feelings for Raghav, questioning why she didn’t slap him if she didn’t feel the same. In response, Anupama calmly explains that a slap is reserved for disrespect, not for someone who spoke his truth respectfully. Rahi confronts Anupama, questioning why Raghav is still in the house if she truly dislikes him. She expresses her deep resentment toward Raghav, but Anupama points out that Raghav and Gautam are very different. She questions Rahi's silence towards Gautam's presence despite his wrongdoings.

Anupama reiterates that her bond with Raghav is based on friendship, and nothing more. Rahi confesses that she cannot accept the thought of anyone else taking Anuj's place. Anupama reassures her that her love for Anuj remains unchanged. Raghav, trying to pacify the situation, tells Rahi that even if she doesn't trust him, she should at least trust Anupama's judgment.

Later, Anil approaches Raghav and apologises on behalf of Moti Baa and the entire Kothari family. Raghav, however, remains concerned about Anupama's well-being amidst all the chaos. Meanwhile, Moti Baa continues questioning Anupama's choices. Parag, upset by the ongoing drama, declares that he wants to cut ties with the Shah family after the upcoming wedding. In a private moment, Gautam advises Moti Baa not to allow Rahi and Mahi to form an alliance against him.

Elsewhere, Leela experiences a nightmare in which Raghav threatens her into marrying Anupama. In a lighter subplot, Mahi and Aryan discuss their future, and Aryan opens up about his past battle with drug addiction. He tells Mahi she's free to walk away, but Mahi assures him she's not going anywhere.

Anupama later finds solace in confiding her feelings to Anuj's photo. She stands by Raghav, stating that expressing love should never be seen as a crime. Her heart, however, still beats for Anuj.
