Anupamaa: Anuj confesses his love for Anupama to Shruti

The popular Star Plus serial "Anupamaa" recently took a significant leap forward in time, bringing about significant shifts in the storyline and cast. However, fans were left devastated by a surprising twist, as Anupama (Rupali Ganguly) and Anuj (Gaurav Khanna) experienced a heart-wrenching separation.

Shruti confronts Anuj:

In tonight's Anupamaa episode, a bystander intervenes to rescue Anupama, cautioning her to be more cautious. Anupama expresses gratitude and apologises. Anuj inquires again if Shruti (Sukirti Kandpal) is alright. Shruti counters by asking Anuj to imagine himself in her situation and how he would feel. Anuj admits uncertainty in his response, prompting Shruti to express her frustration, questioning why Anupama's situation was kept secret from her. She confronts Anuj about the lack of communication and reflects on feeling foolish for wanting to spend her birthday with him despite the possibility of impending heartbreak. Anuj consoles her with a hug.

Meanwhile, Aadhya observes Anupama's absence from the restaurant and resolves not to forgive her if she is with Anuj, as she believes Anupama has hurt Shruti. Anupama accidentally collides with Kinjal, who notices her distress and inquires about the cause.

Later, Anuj and Shruti sit together in the restaurant's outdoor area. Anuj presents a pastry adorned with a candle, urging Shruti to make a wish before she tearfully cuts into it. She then directly asks Anuj if he intends to leave her, catching him off guard. Their conversation ends with Shruti embracing Anuj with a hug.

Kinjal questions Anupama:

Dimple receives a message from Titu that brings a smile to her face, prompting Vanraj to inquire. She ignores his question by continuing the work. Kinjal prompts Anupama to share her troubles, leading Anupama to recount her recent encounter with Anuj and her concerns about Shruti's ability to cope with the situation. She expresses regret for disrupting their lives and blames destiny for their unexpected reunion. Kinjal reassures her, urging her not to blame herself. She advises her to move on without the need to leave behind a good job.

Anuj's confession:

Anuj apologises to Shruti for causing her pain on her birthday and explains his perspective, confessing his longstanding feelings for Anupama. He admits to not mentioning Anupama earlier due to Aadhya's animosity towards her. Anuj acknowledges his selfishness in meeting Anupama despite knowing the potential consequences. Shruti asserts that this is love. Anuj agrees, affirming that, indeed, it is love.

Anuj admits Anupama still holds a place in his heart despite his efforts. He apologises and expresses his inability to love anyone else. Shruti acknowledges Anupama's luck, but Anuj believes they both lack support in their love. He reminisces about their troubled past relationship, concluding they're both unlucky in love, with Shruti feeling particularly defeated.
