Another actor all set to make his COMEBACK!!

This year can surely be termed to a year of comebacks, where several mega stars like Barun Sobti, Vivian Dsena and Rubina Dilaik announced their comebacks to television with their respective new shows..

The latest to join this bandwagon is none other than actor, Salil Ankola. The macho looking actor is all set to make his comeback to fiction space after a gap of three years, where he was last seen in the show, 'Savitri'.

Keeping in mind the actor's hulk personality, if you are wondering what role would Salil be best as? Well, he will be seen essaying the role of Suryadev on the show, 'Shanidev'.

We contacted Salil, who confirmed saying, "Yes, I will be starring as Suryadev in the upcoming show, 'Shani'. I was initially offered the role of Shanidev, however, due to my other commitments, I cannot take that up as much as I would love to do it. With this role, I can manage my other work too, one of them being cricket."

We asked him about what prompted him to take up the show, to which he said, "Honestly, I was initially very sceptical to take up the show, but the makers, Rahul and Siddharth explained the whole idea to me so well, plus my wife Ria encouraged me to take up this role. I went through a phase where I wasn't physically fit for anything, but now I feel fit and I want to make the most of it."

We asked whether it was a conscious decision to take up a mythological show over a quintessential daily soap, to which he said, "The type of mythological shows in India today has changed drastically. There is almost a trend of it where shows like 'Suryaputra Karn' are doing so well. So, mythology is a great genre to work on. I was extremely happy with the way my role is planned to be portrayed. I am liking it so I gave a nod to it."

He concluded, "We plan to start shooting in some days, however, the plans of it going on-air is still kept as a secret by the makers themselves. Also, the channel which it would air on is going to be pivotal, as for eg- if you air it on Colors, the No.1 channel, you know there is going to be a certain audience sure to watch it. I am really excited and looking forward to it."
