Deepali portrayed Mrinalini, a school headmistress, and her exit reportedly stems from scheduling conflicts. According to sources, she was juggling Jhanak alongside a Marathi TV show, making it challenging to balance both projects. Speculation soon followed that actress Ankita Sharma would be stepping into the role.
Ankita, last seen as Vedika in Baatein Kuch Ankahee Si, has now confirmed her entry into Jhanak. Speaking with India Forums, she shared, “Yes, I have joined Jhanak as Mrinalini, and I’m thrilled to be part of the show. Deepali played the role beautifully, and I hope to do justice to it.”
When asked about taking over an established role, Ankita expressed confidence, stating, “I don’t see it as a challenge. As an actor, I am here to portray any character that comes my way.”
