Pavitra Rishta...Its Never Too Late returned with fresh new episodes on Zee5 featuring Ankita Lokhande and Shaheer Sheikh over the weekend and well, both the actors have received a lot of love for their performances. Picking from right where it left, the show did manage to get you to feel a bunch of things, with an ending, that is happy this time.

India Forums got in touch with Ankita for an interview, and here's our conversation with her.

First things first, how has married life been treating you so far?

It is amazing, I am very happy after getting married and nothing has changed for me. So far so good, it has just been a month, so let's see how do the days going forward go.

For a new season to any show, especially a cult show like Pavitra Rishta, what goes into contemporarising the characters and the story?

My character has always been that way. The first season was exactly how Archana is, so I did not have to do a lot, but if you see this one, it was more on the practical side, the way girls are today. So I don't know what had to be done, but it automatically comes to me. When the director tells you the graph, automatically everything changes - the talking, styling, etc. We have tried to show how she has come slightly ahead, and kept at it.

The acceptance for the show and you and Shaheer as a pair, has increased. How has the response for you been?

I am very happy with the response, even with the first season, everybody appreciated it. When you work hard, you know you will get back. As actors, Shaheer and I, have both given our best and if people don't love it, we can't force them. But I am glad that after everything, people have loved it again.

What went into getting the chemistry right, how has the process evolved over the short span time of time you did shoot together?

We shot for 40-50 days and it was not a long period. But that's what it is, as an actor, when you are on the sets and you have the scenes, it automatically comes in, and that's what I feel. It is how I am, I am very spontaneous and I can't rehearse things much, I can't keep thinking about the character. I will go on the sets, I will see, and just perform. Performing with him, or anyone - Sushant, Karan, Hiten, I tried to get myself as the best character. I try from my end, and then it is up to the audience.

To what extent do you believe in having faith in love and giving second chances, since the show will touch upon it?

I believe that you should give a chance; to love someone, there are no chances, I always feel that if a kid goes away from their mother, does the mother not take them back? I don't know why the ego thing comes between a couple, I think love is a beautiful thing and if you truly love someone, you should give it a chance.

I believe that you should give a chance; to love someone, there are no chances. I think love is a beautiful thing and if you truly love someone, you should give it a chance.

What is your take away from this season of the show?

I'll just take away one thing, which is the most powerful thing, which is love. Whatever happened between them (Archana and Manav), or whatever will happen between them, they have loved each other and they will always love each. For me, love is very important in any relationship, and for me, that is a priority for me, and I am glad to have such people around me.
