Ankit Gera and Ragini Khanna in Balaji's next.

Ekta Kapoor seems to be on a creative roll. After successful shows with different themes like Bade Acche Lagte Hai, Kumkum Bhagya and Naagin, her next show on Star Plus, will be based on a couple's conjugal life and has been tentatively titled as Mangalsutra .

Production has roped in popular actress Ragini Khanna as the female lead. Starring opposite Ragini will be our very own Ankit Gera who rose to fame as Mayank in Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke and was last seen on Big Boss 9. Ragini will be making her comeback to the small screen after a very long time.

Certain sections of the media have reported that Ekta's favourite jodi, Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar will also be making an appearance in the show.

Mangalsutra deals with the whole idea of how a woman after marriage will be willing to go to any lengths to protect her husband.

The shooting has already begun for the show.
