Anas Rashid opens up on being a father again

Celebrations and good news were galore indeed when it was recently confirmed that actor Ana's Rashid, who is best known for his role in Diya Aur Baati Hum welcomed his second child.

Rashid, along with wife Heena Iqbal welcomed a baby boy on 14th December 2020  naming him Khabib Anas Rashid after being parents to Ayat, who was born in 2017.

Being a father again, Rashid opened up on the experience of it with Times of India and about being a hands-on father. He said, “We are very happy to welcome a baby boy to our family. My daddy duties are not getting over any time soon! Soon after our first child, Ayat, was born, I had become a hands-on father. And now with Khabib, my duties will continue."

About wife Heena delivering in hometown of Malerkotla, he said, “Heena’s doctor is in Malerkotla and my parents’ doctor is also there. Heena conceived during the lockdown and we felt it was appropriate to drive down to our hometown because of the rising COVID-19 cases in Mumbai. Unfortunately, our car broke down in Ahmedabad and we were quarantined in the city for four days. It took us some days to finally reach Punjab. We have a good support system in Malerkotla, so it was important that we move here for some time. We plan to be here till the situation improves before we can come back to Mumbai.”

It is no secret that Rashid hasn't been too active on the workfront and talking about it, he said, “I have been busy with Ayat, and now it will be busier with Khabib. During the past few years, personal commitments have taken priority, but I will be in action very soon. Since we started a family, it was important that I devote my time to them, and then swing back and focus on work.”
