Ananya Panday says she rooted for (her rival) Sara Ali Khan in Coolie No. 1; calls it ‘healthy competition’

Bollywood actress Ananya Panday is acing her on-screen performances and she is currently gearing up for the release of her upcoming films. The Gen-Z star possesses a massive fan-following on social media which makes her popular amongst the youth. 

Ananya stepped into the limelight with her Bollywood debut with Studen of the Year 2 and so far she has been seen in films like Khaali Peeli and Pati Patni aur Woh. While the young actress holds a friendly rapport with her contemporaries like Sara Ali Khan and others, she is often seen chilling with them who are of the same age. 

During a recent interview with Hindustan Times, what she feels about competing with other actors of her age and revealed that she feels competition to be a motivator for her. 

The Fighter actress who believes in healthy competition with her contemporaries said that she feels good when other actors do well.

I believe in healthy competition. It can be really fun and motivating. Having said that, I really get happy when other people of my age are doing something good.

She even recalled how the industry has changed since her dad Chunky Pandey's time and how things are different now and people are in a different zone. She also added that people have been kind to her.

She continued, "I feel there’s still a sense of unity, brotherhood and family in the industry, which has been kind and welcoming towards me. I feel they are very supportive and kind people."

Ananya shared that she had rooted for Sara in Coolie No 1 and finds it motivating to have healthy competition. 

“I was really excited to watch Coolie No 1, and kept telling Sara she’s so fabulous in all songs. We jam to each other’s music. I am happy when I see everyone do well. I am also motivated, it helps me set the benchmark higher," said Ananya Panday in her interview with Hindustan Times.

Recently, Sara took to her Instagram handle and shared a picture with Manish Malhotra and Ananya Panday who made an appearance at Karan Johar’s grand party. While sharing a picture for the latter, Sara added a sticker which read ‘Rooting for you’. 

Ananya will be seen next in Liger with Vijay Deverakonda and the film is helmed by Puri Jagannadh and produced by Karan Johar.
